I started this piece by painting a large image of a woman in her side profile and as a nude figure. After working on the painting for a long time, I decided it was overworked and took a step backwards to give the artwork a fresh perspective by pouring multiple colours and layers of paint across the original image. It now has it’s own meaning and form away from the original intentions and is a complete piece in itself.
